Unless you’re eating with your feet this is a ridiculous thing to have a fit about. There is absolutely no policy about that at all, people were all over that hotel the night prior shoeless and half naked out of the pool area. They were wearing socks (clean white ones) and a loud and rude staff member announced to the whole entire lobby that anyone not wearing shoes needed to drop their plates and leave. Breakfast the food was good, but I watched two young teen girls get picked on by staff.

Sheets were so freaking rough it literally rubbed the skin off on my knee. No hot tub so wanted at least a bath, nope, crappy shower only and the hottest setting barely got warm enough. Television in the room had next to no service and therefore we couldn’t watch anything. Tried to visit the pool area early morning, but the hot tub was closed and sectioned off after the previous night of insanity, said maintenance had to be called, and the pool was so freaking grimy there was a white film over it that we weren’t going anywhere near.

The hall on our floor was full of screaming idiot women running in and out of rooms and slamming doors and screeching up and down the hallways. Ran into multiple other patrons who also were ticked off because they were paying customers as well and couldn’t get to the area either. Staff even confirmed they knew the area was packed with non hotel guests but didn’t know “what to do about it”. Fitness room was full of teens making TikTok videos. Pool and hot tub area were FULL of people who were not hotel patrons and poured out the front door at closing, there was absolutely no control over the area. I’ve been in crappy motels that had better service and control over their facilities. This was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever had. These are not great times with Covid issues and the Embassy Suites has done well.… Overall, great hotel and they did earn my 5-stars. Perhaps they could have provided that great IPA to me for an up-charge. They had two other beers available, but not for happy hour.

The only other item I would have wished for would be a better beer choice for the free happy hour. I would think that when you have guests, you have the ability to fix what they find that needs fixing. The toilet roll holder also fell off the wall and the lack of maintenance hours kept that from being repaired as well. I was told that their maintenance person does not have hours on the weekend. I reported this Friday about 4pm and it was never reset/fixed for our two-day stay. There are a couple items that could have improved our stay. We were well served and had great dinners in the restaurant. The restaurant was open but not used much. Great breakfast, and evening drinks and food. So we switched to the Embassy which was in full swing. We usually stay at the Marriott Hotel a block away for conventions, but Marriott had closed the restaurant, shut down the morning coffee service and even removed the extra food from their M-Club. That soundproofing did not help when the fire alarm went off twice at about 2am Friday night - or three times at about 6:30am Saturday morning. When you examine the window glass, it looks like they have double pain glass - then a space and then another double pain glass. They do say they have soundproof room and they do. You also do not hear neighbors while in your room. In the parking lot, you are very aware of the jets landing and taking off nearly overhead, but not in your room.
